My First Blog…
This nation and world of politics and economy really IS making people actually Crazy! [And the silver bullet (please excuse the poor timing of that pun) of this increasingly violent and poverty-stricken population explosion? Even those of us who can’t find a good job anymore can at least exchange ideas and write to reporters and news agencies and our government to express our ideas for solutions, and we can do it quite cheaply via the internet (compared to conventional means of transportation of information) – to say nothing of rising fuel costs and all overhead. The Internet put the US Post Office out of business like TV killed the radio star. Or something like that. It happens all the time in social and scientific progress. Nothing new there.
What is new, though, is that we are already at the cusp of a REAL world-wide web… it’s right here at the breaking point; it’s like the Berlin Wall… or the Iron Dome. The prison cell doors called borders will be superceded by the technology of our own scientific success. I would raise the question: Is this good, or bad? Well, if you’re reading this, you probably know the answer to that very question is, in one word, “Yes.” 🙂
Mostly my intellectual work “bounces” not randomly, but is triggered by indicia of coming catastrophe that could reach critical mass, so to speak. The state of the world right now is enough to make people sick. In fact, I have to wonder whether all these acts of random violence are not a DIRECT MANIFESTATION of this SICKNESS that seems to be consuming the psyche of the world. But who the hell knows what I’m even talking about, without writing a book about it. I may just do it and write a book, or start an editorial… I’m still trying to find my niche, and I think I may be getting closenow.
I believe in co-OPERATION and COLLABORATION, not foolish redundancy in the name of COMPETITION. That’s why people who follow and/or play sports, or play chess, or video games, or debate politically or engage in any competition or argument, do so PEACEFULLY as ALLIES, and in doing so, are enhancing their STRATEGIC ABILITIES and ADVANCING TECHNOLOGY through the sharing of ideas. The problem is, this outdated mode of learning through competition is still being perceived as a real “fight to the death” (i.e. sports – boxing, football, etc… even politics). At the end of the day we are all Americans and civilized people, and we shake hands and then go about our merry ways, til next time. It is very difficult to coordinate a GLOBAL system, a GLOBAL universal society of cooperation, ESPECIALLY when there is such a great disparity in quality of life among nations and even members of cohabitant populations.
I wonder what the world would be like if NO ONE was afraid of death. Personally, I think it would be a more PEACEFUL world, rather than a world full of war.
Crap, on CNN right now, there is a story on about an al qaeda manual on tactical evasive maneuvers… including some fairly high technology tactics… Which is why, of course, I always severely restrict what I write about when it comes to military technology. However, it seems the newsmedia has no qualms about it… even on the same newsmagazine that argues against the right of Americans to bear arms. What can I say? I have freedom of speech – with freedom comes RESPONSIBILITY, and I exercise it to this degree. It puts me in an odd situation, because almost everything on the Internet can be intercepted and, God forbid, used for purposes, shall I say, not in the interest of the United States Republic. The Internet has become a REAL MONSTER, with cyber attacks against U.S. and Western interests being done with amazing audacity, attacking our financial and military/civilian establishments and compromising our defense forces. What they are doing to us now is basically teasing us, and the really terrible consequence or result of these probes is that they are in truth tactical moves to check for our vulnerabilities. Believe me, it’s NOT GOOD. We may be hit by an ICBM with nuclear bomb, dirty bomb or not, can come courtesy of Iran and/or North Korea, or even non-affiliated enemy combatants. It pretty much sucks, big time. -2013 Feb. 22, B.T. @18:43 Central US
